Yay! Daffodil Sprouts in zone 7b
Just when I'd given up hope that Spring was going to come on schedule, I was reminded that it's on the way. I FINALLY have daffodil sprouts in my garden. It's been colder than normal here, and I thought that I wouldn't have any sprouts in Jan. But they are here! Yay! Let the countdown to Spring begin!

My Blog
They'll be ok. I've had daffodils in bloom be covered in snow! Our average temp in Feb is 50 degrees. By March, it's usually 60 degrees here. It's been colder here this winter, so I'm surprised to see some sprouts now. They probably won't bloom before March though.
I'm also jealous... we have no snow right now, so everything just looks dull & dead. (Zone 5)
I'm actually hoping for a couple *really good* snowstorms though, and since we don't usually get the heavy snows until almost spring, I have good chances.

January 5 I had daffodils and hyacinths poke through! they have been covered in snow since then though so no growth. They did the same last year and bloomed in early March. I love it!
zone 5 (Kansas) here!

I think I'm zone 8.
Daffodils usually bloom for Valentines day, but because we had 2 weeks of snow and ice (Go Superbowl), they are a little behind. I did see a few buds today.
ALSO, ducks vacation here for the winter. Yesterday I saw a few flying in formation. They practice during the winter flying east/west, but this formation was a definite V and it looked like they were getting more precise. Maybe winter is over soon.
