Hey there,
So I know I'm kind of on the wrong board, but since you all live in Las Vegas I was thinking you all might have some ideas. My FI and I are planning our December wedding in Vegas but are trying to find a venue for our reception. We liked the idea of getting married at the Wynn then going across the street to Maggianio's, but Maggianos is booked on our day. We kinda wanted to do an Italian theme with the food. Is there anywhere else on the strip that could cater a reception for about 50-75 people with a DJ/dancing that is nice? We would prefer Italian food, but any suggestions are welcome. Also, we want it to be close so people who won't have cars don't have to drive from the ceremony to the reception. We're looking at the Venetian, the Bellagio and the Wynn for our ceremony.
Thanks for your help!
Re: Getting married in Vegas
I got married in Vegas and it was awesome! I have no answers for you, but just wanted to let you know what we did in case your plans change. (Ours did many times!)
We were married at a lakeside outdoor ceremony that was incredibly affordable and beautiful! Here's the site: http://www.lakesideweddings.com/
They have a restaurant there and many options for receptions. It was about 15 minutes from the strip. We couldn't afford any of the hotel chapels. We then rented the top floor suite at Mandalay Bay for the night and threw a party/reception there. It was SOOOO beautiful!
We had our rehearsal dinner at the Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian. It was the best tasting food we had in Vegas. Huge portions and excellent service. http://www.grandluxcafe.com/frames.asp?fm=aboutus&pg=aboutus_banquets_lasvegas.htm
Good luck planning. I hope it all comes together for you!
