Something to do for Kids in the area btwn Hartford & Waterbury?

I have a friend who lives in NY and this February we are hoping to meet up in the "middle". We both have 2 kids who are both 4 & 2. We are looking for something fun where we can spend a few hours. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. TIA!

  • I just heard on the radio this morning there's a CT Kids Fair Feb. 12-13th at the CT Expo Center, which I think is in Hartford.  I know that's not exactly inbetween, but it sounded like fun!

  • I'd suggest checking out Kid City in Middletown or the West Hartford Children's Museum, both are a lot of fun for young kids and there many restaurants within walking distance from each of them.
  • I think there is an indoor water park in Waterbury you could check out.

  • There is also a kid city type place in Bristol, which is closer to Waterbury, called Imagine Nation.
  • The suggestions for above museums sounds good, also the waterpark mentioned above is called CoCo Key and it's in the Sheriden Hotel in Waterbury if you want to look it up!

I took my niece to Kid City when she was 2 and it was a hit!!! I highly recommend this too! The 4 years olds will also love it.
