Any Tennis Fans?

I am a FREAK about tennis. I am so excited Jeff got DirecTV for the man cave/sports bar in the basement (we get free cable upstairs since he work for the phone/internet/cable company). It has amazing coverage...but anywho...SO sad Rafa lost last night!! : (

Guess I will be going to Federer (cause I can't stand Djokavic and Murry is just fugly) in the mens...and Wozniaki (sp?) in the women's cause I just heart her. I really like Clijsters, too, so either one I would be happy.

Re: Any Tennis Fans?

  • Yessireee!!!

Rafa seems to be a tad injury prone...glad he got the number one ranking, but it just seems that he can't put together a good string of seasons without some type of injury plagueing him...but yes, it was sad to see him go!

I'm more of a Federer guy, so I am really happy that he is still in it :-) And I totally agree with you - Caroline W. is just adorable, and she is very easy to root for. It's nice to have a women's #1 who I think would make a great ambassador for the sport. Nothing against Venus and Serena, but at times Venus seems to be trying too hard to grab headlines with her questionable attire (she should be above that), and Serena, love her though I do, has a bit of an attitude problem. And Clijsters is just so likeable all around. I was also sad to see Justine Henin gone - I watched that match, and I was really hoping she could pull it off. She is one of my favorites, so I hope her comeback attempt is a successful one!

Should be a great finish!! Yay tennis :-))

And need I even say it? I have said it so much that I know I annoy folks, but IMO, there is no way any die-hard sports fan doesn't have Directtv, if they can swing it. I'm also a HUGE golf fan, and watching golf and tennis on the split screens with the option to move between matches or groupings at will is worth the price alone!!!
