Newly Married and New To Charlotte!
Hi there,
My husband and I have only been in Charlotte now for a week and a half. We both transferred here to work with a new office for our company. We recently married (November) and are beginning our new life together here.
If any one has any advice on being new to Charlotte, it's more than welcome!
Re: Newly Married and New To Charlotte!
Thanks Ladies!! I can appreciate the advice!
@ Cuardraro - good luck with the sell on the house - I hope all goes well and fast at that! I would love to be newbies together!! :-)
Thanks!
What part of Charlotte are you living in? Did you get an apt. or buy a house?
We got an apt. near Independence Blvd and moved DH in this past weekend.
We are renting a house just north of downtown (or uptown as they say here). (Beatties Ford Rd.) Our move happened so fast we didn't have time to look for buying. We hope to buy after getting settled and looking around.
Glad you got moved in - happy settling in!!!
I am a newbie to Charlotte as well, we officially moved in October but wasn't really here until January due to work elsewhere. I am in Matthews, NC. If you find some good places let me know! We have been to the Nascar hall of fame, not really our thing, but figured we should do some of the touristy things when friends were here, I'd say unless you are really in to Nascar not worth going too. We spent some time down at the epicenter around the VT vs FSU game, it was definitely fun. And we went to a wine bar a few times in the University area, that was fun in the fall. Oh and the wine bars in Huntersville.
