Hi there NY Nesties,
I'm new to the Nest and was wondering if anyone could fill me in on all the abbreviations. Some of them are pretty obvious but there seem to be a lot of them. Is there somewhere I can find a list of them all?
Thank you
Re: New Nestie
Welcome!! Are you married? I see that you're counting down to moving in together. Are you already in Brooklyn? And you have a Crafty badge! What kind of crafts do you do? I knit and crochet, but it's been pretty sparse since i'm a full time grad student.
What abbreviations do you have questions about?

hi and welcome!
you'll find that a lot of boards have abbreviations that are specific to that interest. for example:
OOTD = outfit of the day
WFD = what's for dinner?
WW___D? = what would (insert the name of the board) do?
GTG = get-together
HTH = hope this helps

Hi and welcome!
Thanks ladies!! I appreciate your help and warm welcomes! I checked out the glossary, it was a big help! I was a little confused about the DD double meaning. I assumed it was Dear Daughter but was confused when ppl were using it in the dirty delete context. Now I understand!
meggie- Nope not married, just moving in together. We are trying to focus on our careers/grad school and all that before we can afford a wedding and family. I checked out the nest originally really to get some decorating advice and started reading some boards. I enjoyed lurking around but I thought I might as well join! I do already live in brooklyn, moved back here about two years ago after college in MA, but we are looking for a place on the upper east side. As far as crafting... I love to scrapbook and paint but like you I find it hard to find the time. I also love to bake! I took a pastry program at night last year at the culinary institute (kinda randomly) while I tried to figure out what I wanted to do as far as grad school programs go and have been baking/ cake decorating in my free time since. Well anyway sorry if that was TMI, thanks for asking some questions and welcoming me to the boards!
