Thursday (for real) randoms
Re: Thursday (for real) randoms
My neighbors paid $96,000 more for their house than we did for ours 5 years ago.
Ours is newer, larger and on a larger lot.
However, their house is more architecurally interesting and their lot is nicer. <- That means a lot. I looooove their lot. Gorgeous.
But not $96,000 worth nicer. Yikes! When they found out how much we paid for ours, they acted really disgusted. Whoops.
Oh no! That sucks.
That also reminds me that we need to replace the roof on our rental this spring. Wee.
Hope its a cheap and easy fix, Deeder!
Doesn't look like it will be either. Not sure what to do since we don't have $$ for the deductible either.
Was this prompted by anything in particular?
I love all the information at my fingertips!
I don't have it at home.
That thing you posted last night was pretty funny - I wish I could look at details and click on links from my phone.
I got my final paycheck direct-deposited today. Toodle-oo, paid work.

I tried to use my Mperks thing last time and it didn't go through but I was in a hurry with a screaming child so I didnt realize it until I got home. Boo.
Bummer.
A lot of people will work with your with your deductible
That was crazy fast. Didn't you just find out last week?
No internet at home?
I think I would die.
My friend was in town visiting family and bought a Living Social coupon to, to, to....ughh the place on Plainfield that burnt down and they reopened. Anyways she bought a $50 certificate for $25. The waitress came up to them and said they were just under $50 so they couldn't use it, so she and her brother bought another beer and shared it. The bill came and she paid it. The next day, she looks at her recipet and realizes - crap they charged me $28. so in addition to paying the $25 for the certificate, she also paid for a portion of the meal. For some reason, the waitress deducted $25 off their bill, not $50. I told her that she needed to call and complain, but I don't know if she did or not. She flew back to FL and went to work the next day, only to find out that she was laid off.
Deeder, sorry to hear about your roofs. That's rotten luck.
Molly, no internet at home!? You poor thing.
Diana, good luck with your law school visit! How exciting!
It's really hard! Haha. We get by with the internet on our phones, but I predict we will be needing the internet for real soon.
Both of our laptops are broken right now (again) too so I will be needing to buy a new computer.
Have fun and enjoy!
Wow...that story packed a lot of punches!
I am so tired today. I have been going to bed at 10 all week.
Last night around 10:30, I was just getting off of facebook, my husband had been in bed for about an hour at that point. The baby was finally sleeping soundly, she had her 6mo shots, so cranky was an understatement, and she had just fell asleep.
A friend, that I haven't talked to in years, sends me a facebook chat asking me what my dad's name is (He owns his own real estate company, most friends know, so I never think much of it when they ask). I told her. Then she asks what road he lives on, so I tell her. Then I start freaking out because I think her account got hacked or something. Then she says, it just came over the police scanner that your parents house is on fire, a chimney fire, a neighbor called it in. I flipped out, went into my bedroom, woke up my husband. It took forever to wake him. Then I was shaking so bad that I couldn't punch in their number on my phone (the Evo).
Called and called my dad's cell, he wasn't answering. DH finally called their house phone, and my mom answered out of breath. Said the fire was out and asked how I knew. I said a friend heard it over the scanner. Fire trucks hadn't made it there yet. She said she would call me back in a little bit.
Everyone is ok, the fire extinguished itself before the fire dept got there, they checked it to make sure.
I was up shaking for a good couple hours before i could fall asleep
Super scary! But how fortunate that they were able to get it under control so quickly.
Yep. They would have let me "stay on" until tomorrow, but didn't want me to start any new projects. The ones I had were easily wrapped on Friday, so that was my last official day. Today I got paid for that work, and that's it.

Today I've been told (by different people):
1. I had a good idea.
2. I write "splendidly".
3. I'm a peach.
I'm counting this day a success.
Awww awesome. Yay
I am bored. But it's a good day. I can finally hear after the other night and I haven't been yelled at all day. A plus in my book lol
Awww! Sweet
