So my dining room...(Post updated with picts)

looks great.  I love the stripes and am very proud of how good they actually turned out.  But it definitely looks more like a little boys room than a formal dining room.  I think.  Pretty sure.

We still have the trim to finish and some touch ups, but we're having some guests this weekend, so we put it back together enough for them to not be offended and feel welcome.

Dh and I laughed that if/when we sell our home, we're DEFINITELY going to have to repaint.  Unless there are other people in the world that like to live in a circus the way we do.  Stick out tongue

I don't have pictures for today, I'll try and get them for tomorrow.

  • well now you have to post a pic!

  • Our kitchen is a deep purple. We know we will have to paint it when we sell our house.

  • I love it!!!  It definitely isn't your typical dining room and that definitely makes me like it more!  Thanks for posting pictures!  I have to admit I was a little scared by your description, but this looks great!
  • Not circus-like, but not dining room-like either.  I like it! I bet a big/bold piece of art or a mirror would look great on that wall where you have the two pictures. There's no way I'd be patient enough to paint stripes.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking Terp.  I am currently on the hunt for either a big mirror or piece of art work.  :)  Plus, I also hope to re-upholster the chairs to coordinate as well--no more stripes.  I was thinking curlie-qs.  :)
