Etiquette on attending a Jewelry Party

Hi ladies,

I am attending a Jewelry Party that one of my coworkers is having.   I do plan on buying something,  but should I also bring a hostess gift for the host?

Thanks!

Re: Etiquette on attending a Jewelry Party

  • Most def not.  It's really a party... it's a chance for them to sell you something.  THe host is getting plenty from the salesperson.

Big ditto.  I see the party as a way to thank you for showing up to listen to the demo and maybe buy something.  Compliment your hostess but you don't need to give her something.

    Thritto ;)

    And, oh, welcome :)

  • Thank you girls!  ; )
  • Hi!  I ditto, thritto, quatro  etc. the pp.  Also... My DH and I won't go to these anymore.  Be prepared to feel awkward if you're on a budget and can't afford the overpriced jewelry.

BTW - a friend of ours is also planning to host a "Botox" party  in her home- with a licensed cosmo person and legal waivers to sign at the door.  Won't be going to that either...

Paragraph #1) I sell jewelry at home parties. I (personally) just do it as a hobby once in awhile to make a couple dollars & feed my jewelry addiction. I just want to hang out because, I like to talk :-PI hope no one feels awkward if they don't want to buy anything.

OP, yes, just come & have fun. No need for a hostess gift.

Paragraph #2) That is REALLY CREEPY

OMG I have never even heard of a "Botox Party" and if I am ever invited I will decline as well.
