1st Birthday Party Ideas

Hi ladies!

I have never posted on this board but I am hoping that you might be able to help me

My daughter is turning 1 in March and I am trying to find some ideas for a theme for her bday party.  I was thinking Insects and Butterflies or something like that but I wasnt sure.  There will be little boys there as well so I want to make sure that there is something that might appeal to them too.

Its been ages since I was at another childs birthday party so I can use all the help I can get.  I am feeling a little bit lost!

Ladybugs always make for good decorations and theme ideas.  And it's not too girly for the boys attending!

We did a butterfly party for my daughter's 1st birthday and it was really cute.  The only boy guests she had were 2 years old and under, and of course they could care less what the theme was.  There's always "Hungry Little Catepillar" if you want to go with a different bug.  My friend did this party for her son and she had a catepillar made of cupcakes for the cake.  And I thought this was genius - she had some green balloons that hung at different heights to make an inexpensive but gigantic catepillar decoration!  It was so cute.  I'm attaching a picture of the favors they made.
