s/o challenger - Kennedy Space Center Tours?
My family went when I was in tween, and I vaguely remember it. I was thinking maybe DH and I could go down there one Saturday when his season is over. Is it a nice day trip? Anything you especially recommend?

It's nice (although I've done it like 6 times so I'm a little tired of it lol). There's a bus tour that drives you around to a few different places on center - the shuttle launch pad observation deck, the saturn V center, etc. There are usually 2 different space related IMAX shows you can go see. They have a "shuttle experience" ride that's new. The rest is mostly exhibits and stuff for kids. I think the cost is something around $40 per person. I can let you know though, if I hear about any deals I can get. They used to give out free or discounted passes occasionally, but I haven't heard anything lately.
They have several food places inside, but if you were looking for recs in the area, I could give you some.
