I would like to think not. I never thought of myself as a cloth diaper mom....but it looks like I am going to be one. I was going to go with Gdiapers, but then my two friends who are cloth diaper pros talked me out of them. Am I the only mom on here that is going to be a cding mom? We are going to be cding 80% of the time, if not more if I have anything to say about it. Dh will not change a cloth diaper, but I think I can talk him into changing them if they have the disposables inserts in them. I am actually really excited, esp since I found some with owl prints.

Re: Am I crazy?
I think I might be too. Since I will be staying at home whenever we have a little one it makes it easier. My mom said she will not change them so she can use disposables when she watches the little one.
My friend just had a baby and it using them and so far likes them.

I think that we're going to cloth diaper too. Drew is totally against it, but he can suck it up and deal with it. The cost savings alone is enough to make it a good decision, plus it's better for the baby and the environment.
What brand did you up going with. I've heard great things about Bum Genius.

Drew says that he makes enough money that we don't have to worry about that. He needs to get off his high horse and realize that it's better for the baby. And his dad better keep his two cents to himself about it. My mom cloth diapered all of us and loved it!

I went with Gro Via, both my friends raved on them. I didnt get their inserts though and just went with bummies preemie cloth inserts that my one friend said she uses and they work a lot better with the Gro Via. I can't wait to start using them.
I know i am not crazy, I just have to keep telling myself that lots of women cd and its not like what it use to be (try telling my dh that though) I am pretty excited.

I'll admit that I'm kind of sick of having to do laundry every 2 days (that's what's recommended, or else they'll stink), but every time I use a disposable on Jacob, it just doesn't feel right. I like putting cloth against his cute little soft bum, and other parts.
We are exclusively Bum Genius. Daycare uses them without a problem. They are just as easy to use as disposables if you get the new generation of CDs (not the prefolds). Tell that to all YHs who don't like it! The only problem with them is the laundry and if they're not doing it, then what's their problem?
Dealing with the poop really isn't a big deal, either, so the hybrid disposable / cloth covers seem a little besides the point to me.
