25th Anniversary of Challenger Explosion
Re: 25th Anniversary of Challenger Explosion
I know, freaky huh?
I was in fourth grade. We didn't watch it in school, but my sister and I used to get off the bus and run home to turn General Hospital on. We were annoyed at first that the news had broken in on our show. And then we figured out what it was...
6th grade. They'd brought the TV into our room so we could watch. Just to think...a TEACHER was going into space! It was going to be so special! She was going to teach from outer space. Then....
I still get chills.
I was in 2nd grade. We were all in a common area watching and then when I got home my father was home from work and watching the news. I remember that it was the first time I was sad about someone dying.
The next year my sister went to space camp and I remember being worried the whole time that she would blow up.
