Just moved here from California
Hi I just wanted to introduce myself. My husband, five month old daughter and I just moved here from Orange County California. I was born and raised there but once we had our daughter we decided to move here to be close to my husbands parents. We are adament about me staying home with our children and we can't afford to do that AND own a house in California. I am already home sick.
We moved to Cary. Its very pretty and people are nice. For those around this area to you have any suggestions for things to do our places you love?

I live in North Raleigh, so I don't know of any "local" favorites in Cary. But you should check out the Flea Market and Farmer's Market in downtown. They are fun to get outside for a walk and find some good bargains! I know there are also some parks in your area that nesties frequent for walks (not sure of the names though).
What are your interests? Or what type of things are missing from CA that we can hopefully help you find here?

I don't have many suggestions, but I wanted to welcome you! I just got back from California on Friday, it was definitely beautiful, but I totally understand the whole owning a house thing. My friend took me around and was like "yeah, that house is like $3-4 million" and I'm thinking, I can get the same thing in NC for like $150K.
