Engagment Party Gift ideas

Hi Ladies, just wanted your thoughts. A friend of mine (who was one of my BMs) asked me to be a BM in her November wedding. Their engagement party is coming up in mid February, and I don't have a lot of time or money to spend on a gift for them. However my friend does have sort of expensive taste (I mean that lovingly :) ) so I don't want to give them something that "seems" cheap. I was thinking of giving them a check, but then I thought that maybe that wasn't quite appropriate for the eparty? That's probably what I'll give them as a wedding gift anyhow. I got to thinking about maybe framing a photo that was taken at my wedding of the two of them that they LOVE. but is that too cheap? I'm just so out of ideas and want to try to keep the gift around $50. Any thoughts? TIA.

  • What about taking that print that they love and putting it on canvas? Then they can use it in their home also. I love canvas prints, I think that they are unique and so classy.

  • I like the idea of the canvas picture that Ashlee mentioned.  You could also buy them a gift certificate from restaurants.com that they could use for a local restaurant for a date night.

Or put together a basket for a date night, gift certificate, bottle of wine, movie tickets, etc. Or what about getting her a giftcard for her mani/pedi for the wedding.

  • We got an awesome e-party gift and it was a rolling cooler and plastic wine glasses, a nice bottle of wine, snacks, etc and the note enclosed said it'd be great for a picnic or outdoor concert.
