So, how was your weekend???

Mine can be summed up fairly simply...H has been flirting with a bug of some sort for the past couple of weeks, and on Friday it jumped down on him...Like flat on his butt, jumped on him :-(

So, my weekend was focused on caring for the Mr., and let me tell you ladies...I am so tired this morning! Now, I need a little nap :-) H is feeling a little better and he did go to work today, so hopefully all's well that ends well...

Did you guys do anything fun??

Re: So, how was your weekend???

  • Ours was BUSY.  Friday night DH ended up having to work late, so I just hung out at home watching tv.

Saturday morning, we got up early to help SIL and BIL move their new fridge into place and take the old one out.  Then we grabbed a quick lunch before errands.  We we car shopping for DH and found him a truck after spending about 3 hours in 2 different car dealerships.  He is pretty excited about it.  Then we still had to get grocceries.  By the time we got home at 8 pm, we were both exhausted.

Sunday we went to church and ran a few more errands.  Then came home to start laundry only to leave 2 hours later to have dinner with the ILs.

I was so tired last night when we got home that I didn't get much laundry done at all.  I guess I will be doing that today while getting ready for the nasty ice/snow storm we are supposed to be getting.

  • Friday we got our new bar table in for Jeff's "man-cave" so we put that together, then grilled steaks, then just chilled with a friend and listened to music and talked. Saturday we had breakfast, then a nap (haha), then went and worked out. That night we went to dinner with some friends for one of their birthday's, then to a party for another friend after that. We stayed out pretty late (got home at 4!), but I only had two drinks for the 8 hours we were out, so atleast I was a DD! Yesterday I did nothing. Slept in late, went and picked up the dog from my parents' house, then watched some movies on Netflix (Dear John, Steel Magnolias), then just watched a bunch of my Sex & the City's.

  • Shopping!!! Its always fun. Went shopping with my Sister and my 1 year old neice and Hubby...Well I am on a hunt for a couple of spring bedding set. I am done with all these chocolates browns, red and dark blues. We live in south florida. Its not winter anymore here.  I am in need of some bright colors.  However, no luck. I went to Walmart, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, JC Penny, Sears and Macys. We ended up with a down alternative comforters. Looking for a couple of Duvets to cover it with cute shams.

  • We had a busy, fun weekend!!! Friday night, we went to a salsa class (this is all part of my Christmas gift, which was a GC for dancing lessons!!) which I loved, but DH sat out.  It was TOO fast for him haha.  Saturday, we did our private lesson, and we did much better with the waltz and swing.  We ran some errands and then went out to a restaurant/lounge for my BFF's bday.  Sunday, we relaxed, and I caught up on cleaning and my "side job" which is calligraphy.  I'm addressing envelopes for an April bride - remember last year we were all doing ours??? :)

  • welp - Friday I had three lil boys for a photoshoot...  was... interesting!  lol all i have to say is... wow - middle children... I think i'm sticking to two kids!

And Saturday I had a SE Asian (not sure which race exactly) Sweet Sixteen to photograph... aka, 3 costume changes, 3 hair changes, lots of group dancing and intersting food... but it was a lot of fun!

  • My weekend was good. On Friday night DH and I went out to dinner, it was the first time in ages we've been out just the 2 of us.  Saturday we ran mega errands.  In the morning I had to have bloodwork done to check my thyroid and dragged DH with me in case I couldn't find anywhere to park (it's street parking and there are fewer spots due to the snow). We then went to get his car which had to get a new tire, and put his car in the garage. We headed to Petsmart to load up on everything we need for the cats for the forseeable future, I bought a pair of shoes, we got lunch, went to a wine store to replenish our diminishing wine and beer reserves, went to Trader Joe's, and then came home and passed out. Between the car repair and everything else, we spent something like $600 that day. Yikes.

On Sunday we were able to do an early tasting of the wine we are making. We drove out that way early to meet our friends for lunch. Our wine tastes really good and it still is going to be fermenting for 5 more months so it's only going to get better.  I can't wait until we bottle it this summer.

LOL @ this because my DH is a middle child.  O boy....

  • I would say the weekend was busy, but I am really tired today.

Friday, I spent time doing some cleaning and finishing a scrapbook for a baby shower. Saturday we drove 2 hours to this display baby shower. We did not make it home until 7 that night. Sunday we got up and did a few things around the house. I wasn't feeling my best so we did not get to the errands that needed to be done. Oh well.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

  • Friday night I took the dogs for a walk, did some sewing, worked out while watching Parenthood (the first season).

Saturday:  Was up at 5:30 because Sam decided it was time. So I took him for a walk, then we shoveled the driveway, ate breakfast, packed up the car to go to my parents, hung at my parents for a little while, my sister and I went to town to go shopping, came back home and chilled a bit before our radio trivia contest started.

Sunday:  went to church, then to my aunt and uncles for my cousin's birthday party, back to my parents to pack up the car to head back home.  We got back to our house around 6:30, gave the dogs a bath, and I passed out on the couch while DH watched a movie.

    BUSY BUSY weekend!

  • I had a fun Saturday being a corny tourist with my friend seeing all the sights of DC.

Sunday-different story.  Started out nice and my friend and I were going to try snowboarding.  Well I fell and was in so much pain that the ski patrol made me go to the hospital.  Turns out I have a severely bruised pelvis/tailbone/hip....NOT FUN!  And then they went to discharge me and I got halfway down the hall and almost passed out!  So I ended up back in the ER with an IV for 2 hours because apparently I got dehydrated through the whole thing...got home at about 3 am this morning!  But on the one positive side my weekend is now extended since the Dr. wont let me go to work til Wednesday.

  • My weekend was good. I had been off all week due to low shipments at work. This week I am "on call" and with this weather, they are already cancelling morning shifts for tomorrow. So at least I don't have to worry about being out in this weather. I'm hoping DH's work will close too, but I don't see that happening.

Saturday hubby helped his dad with plumbing in a kitchen FIL is remodeling. I did a little bit of cleaning while he was gone. I also got a great deal on some bedding and I can't wait for it to get here. Sunday was mostly spent at the in-laws house. DH was going through some collectibles he had at his parents house still. He spent all day cleaning and putting stuff back in their boxes, then separating them into stacks of what he wants to sell and what he definitely wants to keep and a few that he isn't sure about yet. He took pics of ones he wants to sell. Hopefully this will help us get a little bit more $$$ in the bank.

Today I am planning on doing laundry, cleaning, taking some measurements around the house for various projects, as well as gathering some items to work on some craft projects.

  • I started off with a sore throat on Friday morning that led to feeling like crap all weekend.  I skipped working out on Friday and Saturday so I could rest, then walked outside on Sunday.  Throat feels better; now I'm stuffed up.

But it was still fun and relaxing.  We rented a couple movies over the weekend and went out to dinner Saturday night.  H wanted to use the GC from Christmas on a new pair of running shoes and it turned out he had $100 on his GC (thought it was $60).  So he bought running shoes and a pair of work boots and still has $10 left.  He was happy.  He was going to let me use it on a new pair of boots but I was afraid they wouldn't fit over my skinny jeans and the store is 40 minutes away so I declined...
