I'm wanting to get a 32" lcd tv, and originally planned on spending about $300. Target has an apex 40" on sale for $379, I've checked several sites for ratings, and it seems to have about a 4 star rating.
When shopping for a tv, do you go by brand, price, or something else?
Thanks!
Re: lcd tvs.
I agree with PP. Check out the picture first. Make sure you know what you are looking at. I usually ask the store to show me both the HD and SD pictures. They usually leave the tv on the best channel to showcase its best looks but if you know you will have to watch some standard channels.. which most people do, then you should know what that looks like as well. I've passed on tvs because their standard channel display was basically unusable.
I am fairly brand loyal with Panasonic but if I found a good deal with a great picture quality and good reviews than my loyalty goes out the window.
