I have warm weather on my mind....Wildwood ??

When we went 2 summers ago we stayed at an awsome condo but it was in North Wildwood and while we all loved it, who wants to schlep back and forth to the boardwalk / beach every day.

I want to start looking at some place to stay this summer and we'd like to be in Wildwood, a few blocks in is ok. What street should I start at? And how far in, street wise do we want?

Any Recs are appreciated!

Thanks....I need SOMETHING to look forward to with all this damn snow!

  • We always stayed on Leaming Ave. The place is called Fran-Mar apartments. They have 4 units 2 in front they are bigger if I remember correctly and 2 in back one is one second floor. They have an outside toally enclosed shower and they are a block and a half from the beach/boardwalk. Thier also used to be a laundamat at the other end of the block.( not sure if it's still there we used to stay for 2 weeks so we needed to do laundry.) It is also walking distance from The Sea Shell Ice cream place if I remember correctly.

  • The boardwalk starts at 15th Street in North Wildwood.  I would not want to be any farther back than Surf Ave.  That's about 2 blocks.  Morey's Pier (it's been years since I've been down there), I think is on 26th street, so not a long walk.  The beach is long at that point of NW, so that may detract from that part of NW for you.  We spent every summer down there as a kid, so I really like that area, and would avoid Wildwood proper.  I would gravitate to NW or Wildwood Crest (but then you have the boardwalk issue again...)

  • We always stay in the Crest, it's quieter.  I have stayed at the Acacia, Armada and Bristol Plaza, we like to stay at an oceanfront hotel.  We just drive to the boardwalk and park in one of the lots (near the ferris wheel and the water park).  When I was a kid we stayed in No. Wildwood, but I don't think the hotel is even there anymore....

We are North Wildwood fans, so I can't help you! My MIL works at the Point right near Westy's and so that's the beach we usually frequent. I personally find this area more family friendly and nicer.

  • this is the one we rented last time. It was beautiful. It's across from Sam's pizza on the border of WW and North WW. It also has a small pool. These owners have so much stuff there for you to use too (beach cart, body boards, etc).

She refuses to dry clean or replace anything...there were bugs in my luggage...I can't believe this....she is going to have tenants next week.we have pictures to prove it and dead bugs....this is just awful!!!
