I know it's really premature thinking about this when a big blizzard is about to hit, but in the spring/summer I would love to take my dog to a lake or pond where he can swim! He's a lab & loves water...but his baby pool is not cutting it anymore! We're in the Northwest Suburbs, any ideas?
Re: Places for Dogs to Swim?
Ready for summer!
Our dog loves Montrose Dog Beach in the city and we sometimes go to the Belmont Harbor one as well. But since it's much smaller and you have to pay to park, we seldom go there anymore.

We've taken our lab to Beck Lake. There is a great dog park and they can swim and run around. You need to get a pass ahead of time and it's about $50 for the season. It's located near Golf Road and 294 in Des Plaines. Have fun!
