Snow Day #2 !

I get tomorrow off too....this makes a teacher giddy until they realize they are behind now....

This also proves how Texas reacts to the weather.  Some of you have multiple FEET of snow....we have ice.  In our defense, I can't get out of the driveway unless my neighbors are ok with my car in their yard.  It's SOLID ICE!

Re: Snow Day #2 !

  • I think if it was just snow we'd all be going in tomorrow, probably just a little late.  Since it's ice, all bets are off.  I'll have to figure out a way out of my driveway tomorrow morning.  If I slide I end up in a concrete wall - should be fun.

  • You for sure have to go?  Your DH will be home with Amelia right?  I'm guessing his classes are canceled....

  • Just found out from my awesome co-worker (who has been a go-between between me and her boss) that one of the few crazy people in the office today can do, and did, what I needed to get done.  Yeah!!!  Now, I can have a second snow day without stressing.

  • If I can get out of my driveway tomorrow I might have to do the same thing.  I think Amelia must be bored, too, because she has been cranky all afternoon.  Obviously, I won't be taking her if I do make an outting.

  • Glad you guys are home safe, I hate the ice!!

We had about an inch or two today Sad

  • Well, it's not like we have snow tires down here...or snow plows. I don't know, maybe you have them in the city. I've never seen one, though. All we have are trucks that sprinkle sand on the roads.

  • I get another day, too. I am SO glad - no way in heck I'd dig my way out of that by tomorrow morning. The wind's still fierce and blowing snow drifts higher. Sigh.

  • snow day here too (Richardson). I don't think they're overreacting. If it were just snow, I'd say yes, but it's ice. Plus it's frickin' freezing outside!

Yep. It makes for some really nice muddy streets. I think they're funded by the local carwashes.
