I'm this -><- close to sending my dog back to Texas tonight... he's been throwing a hissy fit for the last couple of hours. He wants something added to his food (rice, I think) and he's not getting it. I'm sitting here ignoring him but he's barking, whining, crying in my ears, trying to make eye contact, stomping his paws, etc. I think he's a bit spoiled (I've already fed him a few baby carrots as treats tonight). I've never seen a dog throw as many tantrums as this thing. It's ridiculous.
Do your dogs throw tantrums?
Re: dog temper tantrums?!?
This is pretty much how my dog tells dh and I he has to go out to the bathroom. He stares at us, huffs and puffs, sighs, makes a low grumbling sound in his throat (not quite a growl) and stomps his paws. He also will do the same thing if he wants to be let up on the couch or bed, except in those situations he also will rest his head on the piece of furniture and stare up at you. I think we did well training him to "ask" before jumping on the furniture, but I think he just thinks he's "telling" us to let him up...not really asking. We definitely need to work on training more with him. He's a friggen bossy little puppy! LOL
Yeah, it's all the ways Simon tells us he has to go out too... or he's hungry. He knows the questions though "do you have to go out?" vs "do you want food" or something like that... he's running into the kitchen and staring at his bowl FULL of food right now. Grrr. Eat.
My dog does this when there is something on the counter he wants(even if it's human food) he's such a brat.
We have to be careful to not leave food near the edge of the counter, because he loves to put his front to paws up on the counter and grab what he can if he's alone in the kitchen. More than once I've left a stick of butter out to soften for a baking recipe, only to come back to the dog eating the butter off the floor : /
Ugh that must be such a mess!(Though I did have to laugh a little at it, sorry!)
My dog once ate a $100 bill off the counter...yeah....and shredded it...he loves paper, especially money-he tries to steal it out of my purse. Bad dog!
