Nice apartment near Kent State

Hello!

My husband and I are looking for an apartment near Kent State University.  We have seen some in Kent but they seem more for students than for married couples.  We saw one in Streetboro but it seems far.  Any places you could recommend us in either Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, Akron, Kent or Streetboro?  We would like to have a 2 bedroom and would like to keep under 850/month.  Thank you!!

Re: Nice apartment near Kent State

  • There's a duplex unit available for rent in Stow. It's on Ellsworth... the address is either 4330 or 4332 Ellsworth Rd. No idea on specifics (number of bedrooms, price and such), but it has a yard and is on a quiet, nice street AND is 15 min drive to Kent. Definitely a regular neighborhood, not in a 'student area'. Phone number from the For Rent sign in the yard is: 330-688-1126.

  • Perhaps a little late, but my husband and I used to live at Hidden Lake Apartments in Stow, off of Fishcreek. It's probably about 10-15 from Kent, and I lived there while I was a grad student. We paid $830ish for a 2 bedroom, but that was a few years ago so their rates may be different now.

Don't know if it was Settler's Landing you saw in Streestboro, but I also lived there. I loved it there, although it was kind of far. HTH.

Thanks for your suggestion!! We'll consider it.

  • I like the apartments in Streetsboro.  The only problem I see is that is totally car dependant.   Were you a student when you lived there?
