wedding rings poll
Now that I stay home with Parker I don't wear my rings much when I am around the house. I sometimes will wear my wedding ring by itself but usually I just wear them both or not at all. H wears his all the time but his is obviously a lot simpler and doesn't stick up and get caught on things, etc.
He asked me why I don't wear them around the house and I guess I don't really have an answer other than that sometimes they get caught on things, especially when I am feeding P. I love my rings and always wear them when we are out and about but it made me curious...

Do you wear your rings all the time? Not at home. I take them off most times when I change out of my work clothes. For similar reasons. It gets caught on things, and sometimes it just gets in the way.
Do you take them off for certain things, if so what? Cooking, cleaning, home improvements (painting etc), makeup, and hair.
Does your husband wear his ring all the time? Anwar wears his until he is going to bed. His is flat and not in the way.

I used to take them off when I put lotion on because everyone was like "oh no! never lotion your rings!" but sometimes its too much work to take my rings off. The only other exception is if I'm mixing applepie mixture together because of the cinnamon and nutmeg that can get into the diamonds.
Does your husband wear his ring all the time? He does. I don't think I've ever seen him take it off.
Do you wear your rings all the time? I wear them anytime I go out, whether it's work, running errands, etc. Usually, when I get home, I'm cleaning, washing dishes or doing some sort of project (like painting!) so I take them off for that. I don't wear them when I'm sleeping or when I'm in the shower.
Do you take them off for certain things, if so what? Just cleaning or painting sometimes if I'm doing weights at the gym I don't wear them. Oh...and when I cook or bake I don't usually wear them.
Does your husband wear his ring all the time? Yep, pretty much. I think he even sleeps with it on. I think he leaves it off when he's at the gym and that's about it.

Do you take them off for certain things, if so what? I use to take them off doing the dishes, but then D would give me crap because I'd forget to put it back on so I started leaving them on. Since then, I've worn them a lot more. I've gained a lot of weight since the wedding, so I take them off a lot now when my fingers are swollen, etc.
Does your husband wear his ring all the time? He's better at wearing his than I am at wearing mine. He almost ALWAYS has his ring on...sometimes he'll take it off to do things around the house and then forget to put it back on, but that's rare.

Do you wear your rings all the time? No, I don't sleep with them, so sometimes I take them off when I get home from work and get in comfy clothes, and if I take a morning Zumba class on the weekends, I usually forget to put them on before.

Does your husband wear his ring all the time? No. He is a carpenter, so it is actually unsafe for him to have it on all the time. I'm ok with this, as long as he wears it when we go out, or have an event or something. He is getting better at that. He actually lost his first ring within 6 months of our wedding (I'm not sure I ever shared that on here). I could have killed him, but it was more like "I told you so". He would take his ring off, and leave it random places or put it on his key chain (seriously). So, he lost it. And was scared sh*tless to tell me. But he went and got another one (I'm glad we got him the white gold instead of the platinum) and now we have a silver dish in the living room where he keeps it when he is not wearing it. So far so good (although I joke that we should get it inscribed with "if lost, please return to _____).
Do you wear your rings all the time? Most of the time, yes. If I don't go anywhere all day (like yesterday), then I usually don't put them on. And I don't shower or sleep with them on.

Does your husband wear his ring all the time? yes, he wears his most of the time, unless he's working out in the yard or working in the garage.
Mine didn't either, I had to get them resized about 1/2 a size, my feet grew too, ugh.

Do you wear your rings all the time? No. I usually take them off as soon as I get home because I usually am making dinner. I can't stand when water gets under them so I take them off. I also forget to put them on a lot for work. Whoops.

Does your husband wear his ring all the time? Kev leaves his on except if he's cooking or doing dishes as well, then it comes off at night too. He also doesn't wear his while golfing. He said it hurts. I can't get mad because there are more times than not that I leave and don't have mine on and he does. He always says not to tell his wife about his pregnant mistress

Do you wear your rings all the time? yes- I never take them off- more concerned about them getting lost (our cats love to play with things like this). I am hoping they continue to fit through this pregnancy.
Do you take them off for certain things, if so what? The only time I take them off is gardening for obvious reasons and they go on a bracelet in the same spot in my car so I wont loose them.

Does your husband wear his ring all the time? andy never takes his off. in fact, we got fake ones to wear to jamaica and he wears his $15 stainless steel one for things like fishing, hunting, working on the car or truck, etc. he is good about remembering to put the fake one on when he is going to be working with his hands but he is bad about putting his real one back on haha. i dont really care, as long as he is wearing something it doesnt matter to me whether its cheap or expensive.

Does your husband wear his ring all the time? He doesn't wear his around the house, and sometimes if he's doing something dangerous for work where he has the potential to squish his fingers, he'll leave it off.
If we go out without our rings, we joke with each other about going out as a single person with a married man/woman -- how scandalous!

Do you wear your rings all the time? I had to stop a month ago, my skin is getting so irritated. My doctor's worried I'm developing a platinum allergy (which seems weird!) so I wear them when I go out of the house only. Soon I'll probably have to switch to wearing them on a chain. I'm very sad about it, I love my rings.

I never have mine on at home usually. I am at home most of the time so that means they are never really on. I do put them on when I go out even if its just to the deli or the store.
If I do have them on I take them off to mix meat, or wash dishes, lotion, shower, sleep, etc.
Billy never takes his off, he sleeps, showers, everything with it on. It is soo beat up and needs a good cleaning.

It bothered me at first but taking a step back, I realized that while it is a symbol of our marriage, it is not the only symbol. He's never been a jewelery person, and it's sily for me to get upset that he doesn't wear it all the time.

Does your husband wear his ring all the time? Not at work. Most officers in the jail don't because it cuts down on the inmate trash talk about the officer's wives and they get caught on the cells or getting to his pepper spray, radio etc
i figured husbands who work with their hands wouldnt wear rings for reasons like michelle said, getting a finger ripped off, but i never thought about this reason for Jon. makes sense.
2) I take them off when I sleep, shower, or do any housework that involves heavy cleaners.
3) he used to be horrible about it and would forget to wear them to sales calls and things in the first 3 months of our marriage. It actually used to really upset me. Now, he takes it off to sleep and puts it on after his shower. He only takes it off to play golf or do work around the house.
