I'm officially jobless...

Well, only for today, technically!

I gave notice a month ago to my beloved job of 6 1/2 years so that I could work closer to home and spend more than an 1 1/2 hours a day with Gavin.

Yesterday was my last day and I will start the new gig tomorrow.  I have so many emotions wrapped up in this transition.  One, I absolutely loved my job and thought I'd never leave, so it's hard to come to a decision to move on.  Two, while at this job, I went through so many life altering events...getting married, having a baby, etc.  Three,  I was so comfortable and knew my way around dealing with all of the people that I dealt with on a daily basis.

Anyway, I know that I've made the right decision for my family and that all of this nervousness will go away after a few weeks at the new job....I just have to get through it.

Thanks Mo!  I just finished emailing Matt and then came back here and you posted!  The last week and yesterday were absolute hell because everyone waited till the last minute and expected things to be wrapped up before I left.  I was actually supposed to start yesterday at the new job but I knew I needed another day or two and postponed to tomorrow.  Now I have a day off to do some shopping...yay!

Yes, I will still be doing HR work but for a Company that recently acquired another company so there currently is no HR function at all.  I have my work cut out for me....but it will be a good challenge.

Congrats Min!  New challenges are good...you're gonna do great!  Kick-arse I'm sure!  Change w/ my ex-employer was also a hard decision, complicated with many other factors.  I know it feels strange, and out-of-sorts, but a decision for the love of your family is always GOOD!  More time, closer to home, health, shelter...everything else will fall into place.  Have a great day off!  Keep us posted on your progress!  XOXOXO

Good luck with everything! I'm sure it will be for the best.....although I will definitely miss our lunches.

Things on the job front are pretty crappy for me these days.....sigh.
