Need Apartment Recs

My husband and I are relocating to S. Florida. We are loooking into apartment rental complex's but are clueless about what is good and not good.

Any suggestions for complex's in the Coconut Creek, Coral Springs area?

Re: Need Apartment Recs

  • I used to live in The Winner's Circle in Parkland. I really liked it there because it had more of a "home" feeling to it than an apartment complex feeling. The units are a decent size with updated fixtures, plenty of parking, it has pools, a playground, tennis courts, a gym, is pet friendly and trash pick up by your front door. It's on the pricier side but I felt it was worth it. Parkland is right in between Coconut Creek and Coral Springs.

I also lived at The Promenade at Wyndham Lakes in Coral Springs. It was nice, but parking was PITA. If you live there I highly recommend getting a unit that comes with a garage, otherwise you may have to park on the street sometimes like I did. From my experience living there people with garage units used their garage for storage so they had to park in open spots which made finding a spot challenging. I think whomever designed the layout of this complex didn't take into consideration that not everyone would park their cars in their garage so not a lot of extra parking spaces were created.  And if anyone had a get together, forget about finding a parking spot.  Also, the walls were on the thin side you could hear your neighbors. However, it is right off of the expressway which makes it nice for commuting.

Some other places we looked at but didn't live:

The Grove at Turtle Run in Coral Springs

The Park at Turtle Run in Coral Springs

The Hamptons at Heron Bay in Coral Springs/Parkland

St. Andrews at Winston Park in Coconut Creek

These are all in relatively nice, quiet, safe areas. HTH!
