going into labor at work...
looks like we will have to make up our snow days well into June. my due date is June 8th. I know it was possible before, but it seems even more likely now that I could go into labor at work.
I shouldn't freak out, right? I love my students, but that is the last place I want to be....

Re: going into labor at work...
i'm freaked out about going into labor anywhere, lol.
what age group do you teach? someone on my birth month board said she explained to her middle schoolers what could happen if she goes into labor at work (so it wasn't scary for them) and has a plan worked out w/ her principal. food for thought.
This is my biggest fear too because I'm working right up until I have this baby! I just keep reminding myself that there are 168 hours in the week and I'm at work for 40 of them, so that's not even 25% of the week, so theres more than a 75% chance that labor will start not at work. This math makes me feel better
Oh, and I had a good friend who actually went into labor at work. Basically, her water broke, but she said it was just a trickle and then her contractions started, but they were still far apart and mild. She was able to leave without causing a scene at work. haha
Your math makes me feel better! tons better
even if my water broke at school, it'd be a big deal. I had a student who peed on herself in class and I still think about/find it amusing/find it disgusting two years later! i'm sure the kids in that class do too!
