Im looking to find classic appetizers that were popular from the mid 40's to the 60's. I know that's a wide range, just curious if anyone had any suggestions or sites to check out. Im hosting a movie night, and showing a few Cary Grant movies.
Re: Retro appetizers?
The only thing that comes to mind is things with liquor but I don't know why...once I made a blue cheese ball with brandy or something in it...
other then that I'm at a loss, any family members have old cookbooks?
Hmmm, maybe not what you had in mind, but you might find this at your local library. I've flipped through it a time or two and found it not worth buying, but it may give you some inspiration for you theme.
Know nothing about this or this, but they might have something.
Amazon had this selection.
I'm really a big fan of digging through the stacks at the library. You never know what you'll find reading the spines that you would have missed googling.

I found this menu on epicurious. I definitely think that deviled eggs should be on your menu. Basically, they reimagined standards like coconut shrimp, deviled eggs, pigs in a blanket and martinis.
