do you have pictures from your shower yet?? Ugh, not yet! I was hoping to have some today, but my bff (another one, not you ) hasn't sent them yet.

What is your favorite thing you've gotten for Eli/the nursery/etc? Justin painted me a picture of an owl to hang in the nursery that I am obsessed with!

What has been a must-have for you during your pregnancy?  (certain food, piece of clothing, anything!) hmm this is a tough one. I haven't had any food cravings, but I would probably say breakfast. I never used to eat breakfast, but it's now my biggest meal of the day!

What are you most looking forward to doing with Eli once he's here? Aside from having time off work (ha!), I am looking forward to the first week that the three of us will be home. I don't want anybody staying at our house at that time, and am really looking forward to the three of us getting to know one another.

Cloth or dispoables? Disposables. I wanted to look into cloth, but J was adamantly against this which was very surprising to me.

Vacation plans this summer? Just a family vacation to Chincoteague. Usually we go for a week, but I think I will only be able to get two or three days off this year. Next summer? MIL wants to go to Spain, but unless she is paying for the three of us, we may do something a little more local.

What do you like about your job? I actually really like the work that I do. It is a lot of statistical analysis (I'm really putting my English degree to work), but I find it really interesting!

Dream vacation? A big trip to Italy and Greece.

What were you like in high school? I was a cheerleader, but had the worst hair ever. I don't know why any of my friends didn't tell me that big 80s bangs (in the 90s) and a beehive (not really, but close) was not a good look for me.

Best memory so far in your life? I would say our wedding day! Because Justin and I are from different states, it was the first time all of our friends and family were in one place at the same time and it was just so incredible to have them all there to share such a special day.

Are you reading anything? How do you like it? Nothing other than baby/pregnancy books at the moment, but I just finished the President's Wife. It was good, but I thought it would be more centered around the presidency, as opposed to her entire life. (Based on Laura Bush.)

Favorite book of all time? A tie between A Prayer for Owen Meany and The Pillars of the Earth.

Favorite way to spend a date night? A nicer dinner and then a movie at home sounds wonderful to me!

First, I demand your latest bump pic, so I can remember where I was this time last year!  Mariela hopes to share her birthday with little Eli...she'll even share some cake. I will post one! The 25th sounds good to me. My doctor will let me go one week past my due date, so it could happen!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years (career-wise/home life/etc.)? Depending on Justin's job, we may be looking for a new house. (Our house is plenty large enough for several children, but it is in a different county than his school. If we want our kids to go to his school, we need to move or pay a hefty fee every year.) I would like to have another child, and hopefully have a nice promotion from my current job. (I have an opportunity in March 2012 so we will see.)

Are you doing anything special to prepare your fur baby for Eli's arrival? Nothing other than making sure he knows the furniture/toys in the nursery are not for him!

Who is your favorite actor? Actress? And why? I don't think I have one of either!

What is your favorite type of food? Pretty much anything a little kid likes. Pizza, chicken tenders, burgers, etc.

Any food aversions this pregnancy? No food aversions at all. For some reason, other smells have gotten to me. I can't be in the same room when anybody brushes their teeth (when I brush my own I'm fine) because I start gagging. Isn't that random?

Have you packed a bag for the hospital yet? Ugh, no and I have been meaning to for over 3 weeks! I have a pile in the my bedroom of things to take, but I need to get off my butt and actually put it together. (This weekend is my goal.)

Do you have a special outfit for Eli to come home in? I haven't decided, but I just got a newborn outfit in the mail this week that may be perfect. It's a gray and white striped onesie with brown pants and a brown zip up that says big guy.

If you had to predict Eli's arrival date, what day do you think it would be? This is really hard for me, as my guess changes daily - but I guess for now I will say 3/15.

Have you been to Vegas before? More times than I can count! When I was little, my mom's boyfriend had a private plane and we would go for lunch a lot. I didn't go as much as I got older - only a handful of times since I turned 21.
