As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Continuing Whine Wednesday
So there's a parent of a student on my team that's the President of PTA. She hates our team! The reason she hates our team is because we've told her in a nice way that her son smells. Last Friday it was so bad that he had to be sent home. The other kids have been pretty nice about this and they haven't picked on him although they have been known to hold their breath and put their shirt over their noses. They haven't called him names or anything, which really surprises me. So, we've told this mom about the issue and now she thinks we are bullying her kid when we are trying to keep the opposite (him getting bullied at school) from happening.
So on Monday she told me that her son needed to stay after to make up work for my class. I replied to her email and said ok. Then she called, not an hour later, while her son was after with me, furious that he was staying after. I think she has short term memory loss. Either that or she's just trying to cause problems.
Fast forward to yesterday, she sent me an email. I had written to PTA last week requesting help with funding a field trip we are taking to the Great Escape. The trip is math and science based and is educational, discussing the concepts of physics and having students watch, time and ride the rides to see acceleration, friction, etc. She's part of the PTA and she wrote me saying the trip wasn't educational and therefore wouldn't be partially funded by the PTA. I really just think she's out to get us!
What a way to start my first day back after a snow day!
