Audio Books

Does anyone have recommendations for audio books? I love to read and am in the car for two hours every day so I thought about trying some audio books to see if it makes the drive go quicker. Thanks!

Re: Audio Books

  • When I was traveling a lot over the summer and into the fall I did audio books. I put about 20,000 miles on my car during that time period.

The books I chose were ones that were already on my reading list.  I did a few Elizabeth Berg books and some Jennifer Crusie ones as well oh and the entire Sookie Stackhouse series.  I really enjoyed the chick lit while I drove all over.  Let me know if you need more suggestions and I can see if I can pull up my history on my library account.

  • I listen to them alot when i'm commuting.  The one piece of advice I will give you is to not listen to 2 books by the same author (or reader) in a row.  The same voice gets REALLY annoying.

Tracy had some good suggestions.  I go into the library catalog online and search my favorite authors and just pick.  Or I go to the library and wander that section.
