Throwing this out there I dont know if it would work but I just wanted to get everyones opinion.

Since we have so many Moms 2B and I know a lot of you dont get meals provided for you after you have your babies. So I thought we could put something together were each time a new mom has her LO we all chip in whatever we can, even if its $5. We could open a Paypal account where one person could be in charge of getting a GC to a restaurant for the Mom and Dad. I know it would help a lot. If you have any other ideas of sorts fill free to add them.

I know I am the next one due and I wouldnt need this done for me because our church brings meals for the first 2-3weeks after and I know a lot of people who dont get that kinda of love from everyone. So we can be the ones to give it!

That's a really thoughtful idea, Jul.  I would be supportive of something like that, for sure.

 The logistics of it elude me a bit, but it's a very nice thought!

I was hoping for a better idea that made more sense! So if anyones got some please throw them out there.

We have one lady in our church that heads up the meals and she calls other familes and they pick days to drop off meals to the new parents. I have always thought it was such a great thing fo people to do. It sucks that not everyone has that.

That's a good idea, but I know after I came home from the hospital I didn't want to go anywhere, so maybe like a visa gift card would be good, so that if needed they could use at grocery store, etc and not just have to go to one place.

If we did it I would agree with this. I couldn't even effing sit in a car (or really anywhere) let alone want to go anywhere.

I guess my idea was that you could get food delivered? or do thet not do that in the lower 48? hhehe.

the restaurants in AK deliver?! Only pizza and chinese and some sub places deliver to me. I always wish Outback or Chilis would deliver. But also we don't know what they have nearby so maybe just general GCs are best.

Usually only pizza, sandwich, and Chinese places deliver.  I know places like Chili's, Outback, Applebees do carry-out but not delivery.
