Are we still doing the book club, I don't remember seeing a post how the first meeting was or what the next book will be.

We actually never met because people dropped like flies!!   I have been so busy I forgot about rescheduling but am certainly open to meeting to discuss the first book and then picking another book to read if we have enough interest!!

sorry i dropped...  my thing is, with school books to read i don't want to read "real" books as well.  i read a LOT, but that's because i do audio books at work.  the book chosen wasn't available in audio and actually, not even at my library in regular format.

i'm sorry...  =(

Oh gosh... no need for apologies.  Life happens and we are all very busy.  I can totally understand why people couldn't or wouldn't be involved.

For me it was more the meeting location...  I'm okay with driving to the opposite end of the valley, but not so much with driving downtown.  I realize that's the easiest way to make it central for everyone though.

I thought the book was horrible half way in, so I stopped reading it.  Reminded me too much of "She's Come Undone"

I was not a fan either.  Didn't take me back to She's come undone but it wasn't one of Jane Green's best books either.  I don't think a pre-requisite for attending the meeting is liking (or even finishing) the book.    It's just for fun!!!

Well, I personally liked the book. 

As far as the meetings go, would it work better for more people if we alrenated east vally/ west valley so it is more of a compermise of traveling instead of going out of ones way to a central location? Just a thought.

I liked the book also but just couldn't make it the day that was scheduled. I wouldn't mind alternating either that way even if some people couldn't make it from across down they could still go to every other meeting.

Thank you, I was just thinking that I know I get tired of always going to the East Valley so if we did 50/50 maybe more people would be more inclined to go
