  • I'm down 10 pounds! Also just started New Venture FastTrac classes so we can finish our business plan for the brewery. Life is good.
  • Charity I am sorry you are sick.

    Wendy, Congratulations!  That is great!

Can anyone recommend a good burger place in town?  I can't stop thinking about a good burger (normally I am not a burger person).  But it has to be big and juicy but not greasy/slimy.  LOL   Please help me? Smile

I so didn't expect that answer from you. Smile I had to do a double take to see if that really was you.

Ha ha, I know. Living in Jenison my options are limited if we don't feel like going downtown.  We so need a locally owned restaurant in the Jenison/Grandville area!

  • I just posted a snarky comment on my SIL's FB status and I don't really feel bad.  She's posted way too many statuses in the past couple of weeks about being drunk.  Grow the hell up already.

I lost my sense of humor with her drinking when she barfed all over my car last time she was in it.

My husband really likes the burgers at Grand Rapids Brewing Compnay.

Last time we were at HopCat, I had a really good turkey burger.

  • Our tenants just informed us that they bought a house and are breaking their lease 6 months early.

In the contract, we don't specify an actual dollar amount for the penalty.  We worded it so that we would have the right to legally go after the balance of the lease.

They have been good tenants.  We are thinking of charging them 1 or 2 months rent as penalty.

What do you think?  Have you ever broken a lease agreement?  What was your penalty?

I think that's fair.  I don't know what the standard is.  I've never broken a lease.

  • And the timing on this was a bit of a shock, as we are closing on our 2nd investment property in 2 weeks.  Hehe.  The joys of being a LL.  Thankfully we have tenants lined up for the new house.  Smile

I've read review's that it hurts at first but gets better. I don't have one. I'm waiting for your review to purchase 1 or 2 for the office.

Thanks. I think I've looked at this before a while ago. I looked again but didn't see if there is a cost for them or not.

I've been thinking about setting up a meeting with SCORE's office here in town too.

  • @Deeder: Some of their classes are free, some are not. Just depends on which one it is. What kind of business are you thinking about?
