if you use vinegar as fabric softner.....
how much are you using? i use Method laundry detergent (four pumps to a load) and am trying to steer away from buying fabric softner. i have been putting vinegar in the wash as i have seen other door but might be using too much as some thing have a vinegar smell to them....
not sure how much i am using or is there is a way to get the clothes to smell better.

Best sound ever: baby's heartbeat! (Heard @ 10w1d)
I sometimes notice a vinegar odor when I first pull things out of the washer, but it seems to fade quickly. No one has told me I smell like a salad or anything. I also don't expect my clothes to smell "good" after I clean them, the way they would smell with chemical fragrances. I just want them to be clean and de-odorized.
My washing machine has a reservoir for fabric softener so I dump my vinegar to the max fill line, which I'm guessing is around 1/4 cup.
My other tip for subbing vinegar is to hang dry any fabrics with a high synethetic content, like fleece and nylon. This will greatly minimize static problems.
Ditto. I think it's 1/4C.
Same here.
Me too.
