I'm a terrible Mainah.  I had no clue there were so many counties!  Probably shouldn't have admitted that...

Hey, even I knew that there are 16 counties in Maine!

Now Virginia, on the other hand...I just had to Google to find out how many counties there are.  VA has 95 counties and 39 independent cities.  I think there's a reason I've never heard of a county song when I was a kid in VA.  LOL!

I think there are 5 in central maine (kennebec, somerset counties, etc)...2 in Penobscot County...but one doesn't post much at all   and i can't keep track of you southerners

Sometimes I still find myself singing that song...  I forget some of the words but, I learned it in 4th grade...  I'm now almost 35.

I learned it in 3rd or 4th grade and still remember it too...though we learned it in a different order.
