What do you think are the prettiest flowering fruit trees?
I thought I had won, and while I am not admitting defeat, DH is starting the battle again about getting rid of two ornamental plum trees that line our front walk. Yes, when they bloom they are pretty, but they provide no edible fruit, and the 'fruit' they do create falls on our walk and gets dragged into the house and stains our carpet.
So... to fight the fight, I need your help to say what I would use to replace it that would also be beautiful!

We have this ornamental plum and it doesn't seem to drop any fruit and has beautiful double blossoms.
I do not recommend an ornamental pear. All the ones in my mom's neighborhood have gotten fire blight and half the tree us ugly, brown, and dead.
Citrus is nice because it's not deciduious. I also like cherry but they don't bloom for long.
