Early March - College Spring Break?
Hello South Florida Nesties! My husband and I are looking to take a one night getaway with our children to the Fort Lauderdale area. Unfortunately his hotel discounts are already booked up for February, and we'd be looking at the first weekend in March. I did some research and it looks like the first big week for college Spring Break is Monday, March 7. If we spent the night on Friday, March 4 would the city already be crazy with early arrivals?
We made the mistake of accidentally visiting Fort Lauderdale years ago during Spring Break and the city was completely bogged down in traffic. Would like to avoid that again.
Re: Early March - College Spring Break?
Unfortunately, there is always a lot of traffic during the winter. We have a ton of snow birds from up north. You may be able to avoid all the additional spring breakers if school is still in session the first week of March.
Were there any attractions in particular you were looking to tour?
