Need V-Day ideas: Cute but not cheesy.
Hi ladies! I need some ideas. Mike and I don't usually make a big deal out of Valentine's Day (we exchange cards and sometimes something small, like candy). But I'll be working late that day, so I want to do something cute for him that says "Even though we have a four-month-old and life is hectic and I'm working 12 hours today, I still think you're pretty awesome."
Other criteria: It must be cheap (hehe).
Re: Need V-Day ideas: Cute but not cheesy.
maybe handmake some cards one from you and the other from baby. then a small box a candy or a heart shaped cookie in his lunch that day.
you said the perfect wording for your card. i wouldn't change that
sorry, i specailize in cheesy so i hope that was somewhat what you were looking for
i LOVE me some valentines day planning!!!
does he take his lunch to work? alex does and ive been putting valentines m&ms in there, cut his sandwhich in a heart shape (which he might have later said never to do that again lol), and for a drink a put strawberry crush - get it?!? b/c i have a crush on him hahaha lol
another idea is writing out the a to z's why you love him. ive done this and you can make it sweet, funny, sexy, what ever you want!!
something you could do the night before - after hes asleep is take some red post its and write little notes on them and stick them everywhere he goes during his morning routine - like a note on the bathroom mirror, note in the kitchen, note on the car door, etc.
make a dessert the night before and have it for breakfast!! alex loves strawberry shortcake and we had it for breakfast last year - to this date he says it was the best breakfast hes ever had! lol
last idea, i promise hahaha - if theres any way you could take a longer lunch break and surprise him on his lunch that day...maybe have like a packed lunch and eat it on a bench at a park, or take a bunch of change and say 'i wouldnt change a thing about our crazy life other than spending more spare time with you' haha sweet!!
Aw, the a to z idea is cute. And I totally was thinking about doing that with the post-it notes! That's a good one cuz he gets up a few minutes before me, so he would discover them all on his own.
for the a to z book - i went to the dollar tree and bought cute scapbook paper and cut that into smaller squares - it made it look pretty legit too hahaha
These are all so cute! I couldn't think of anything to do, but I'm definitely stealing a few of these
