How many times a week do you talk to your mom?

Re: How many times a week do you talk to your mom?

  • I usually talk to my mom once a day. Sometimes we miss a day and sometimes it's more. Just depends.

  • We talk most days... somedays more than once (usually because I have a cooking question) so 5-10 times a week.  I usually say hi to my dad too.  I talk to my 4 siblings weekly or bi-weekly.

DH talks to his mom maybe 1-2 times a month.

  • We usually talk to "check- in" a couple times a week with some text messages in between. We didn't have the best relationship while I was growing up, so we are trying to make up for it now.

How often do you talk to YOURS?

  • I don't really talk to my mom. My dad will text or send me a message on facebook, but that's about it. If something important happens they will call usually and vice versa. I've never been that close to my parents. My BF speaks to his mom on the phone about once every 2 weeks at least.
  • This. My mom and I had many issues after my parents divorce, I ended up living with my dad. I was happier that way, she still shows resentment over the issue as I still show resentment towered some of our other issues. While she would like to be my best friend and know everything about my life as soon as it occurs, keeping our conversations to a minimum seems to be better for me. It keeps arguments to a minimum and I don't have to feel like she has pried and forced herself into every aspect of my life.
