Over on ESPN Sportsnation, they have a couple of post Superbowl polls up, one of which rates the BEP's halftime performance:

After you've voted, you can check the breakdown of how each state voted. Looks like every state can agree it was a fail:

Ouch!
Additionally, the same poll is available to rate Christina Aguilera's performance, with an equally dismal grade. Eek.
Re: ESPN: Black Eyed Peas Fail
Haha Yikes! I kept thinking "I know Fergie can sing-why is she yelling??"
My favorite half time performance in recent years was Prince...yeah I know...but I thought it was awesome!
Hahaha And she looked awful too.
Wow- tough crowd!
I have to admit, I have always had a soft spot for Ms. Christina (judge away), mostly because I feel she is one of the few pop singers who actually has some vocal chops. That being said, I was really pulling her to nail her performance, especially since her personal life has been a bit of a mess recently. Disappointed big time.
As far as the Peas are concerned- I would have rather they lipsynced their entire performance, although I did appreciate the cast of Tron stepping in as backup dancers. Honestly, what the eff was with Fergie's voice on her duet w/ Slash? Just. Painful.

I also have a soft spot for Christina - I think just because it was probably an insanely nerve-wracking moment...it's not like she doesn't know the words. I'm not a fan of hers, or anything, but I just feel like that type of mistake could have happened to anyone.
As far as the Peas go...again not a fan and I didn't feel that this type of show was the right fit for the Super Bowl Halftime Show...but what do I know? Prince had the best performance I can remember.
We actually looked up the halftime show on Wikipedia to see all the past performers and it's amazing how not that long ago it was just a marching band or something to pass the time and not a big blowout show.
Epic fail for Christina - she sang well, but to forget the lyrics? ridiculous.
I actually enjoyed the show itself, but not the singing. I'm sure it's tough to sing that rushed, with that much energy, etc. I thought it was fun! Not my favorite half time, but not horrible...
What?! I missed the entire game. How did she do that? Was it totally obvious?
Apparently, I missed this too.
BEP's were an epic fail in my book. Uh.
I usually like Christina, but she is a HUGE performer. There is no excuse for the lyric debacle in my book.
DH and I actually commented last night while watching Sunday's episode of Glee that the halftime performance at the Championship football game was better than the halftime performance at the Superbowl.
