AW: Finished Shower DIY Invitations! PIP
I finished the invitations for my cousin's bridal shower. Here they are!
My mum commissioned me to do a bridal shower invitation suite for my new cousin-in-law. The bride's favourite colour is this dark turquoise colour. My mum wanted forget-me-nots featured, but I decided to go with hydrangea sprigs instead. I doubt my mom will notice the difference :P
recipe cards:
(found some delightful vintage prints of food and kitchen items, turned them turquoise, and made these 4x 6 cards. Printed them on card stock. voila!)
Extraneous cards:
(I grabbed a picture of a hot air balloon and photoshopped her name onto it.) I had to think of a creative way to remind guests not to bring too many gifts to the shower, since she has to fly back to BC.
Extra card for instructions:
(I used turqoise cardstock for the background)
I
made my own craft paper envelopes and calligraphed the addresses in
white. (similar to this picture) sorry I have no pictures of the actual calligraphy.
I tied them with brown and white bakers twine:
They went into the mail last week, and my relatives have already started calling my mum. They're a hit. Yay!

Yay, this! Eva-these are fabulous!! I'm throwing a shower for my bf late Spring and definitely going to bookmark these as an invitation idea! SO cute!!
