here was my day

so, I woke up with pain in my hip area.  Of course it's my right side and I become paralized with fear that it's my appendix (THANKS MICHELE!)  I go to work, and they're such nice people trying to make me feel better but one of the managers comes up in the office and sits with me and she basically points out that I really SHOULD call my dr if my thoughts are getting the best of me, and she wouldn't take anything for an answer other than me calling right there and then.

SO I called.

got me an appointment and left work.

So I tell my dr everything (how for the last 4 months I'm convinced " a la punky brewster style " that my appendix will burst and I will die) Damn you punky.  And I know all the stress is my life is screwing with my head and the pain isn't "real"  not that I don't feel pain, because I know I do but because it's not whatever it is I think I feel.

I'm back on a daily med so you can all breathe your sighs of reliefs with your "thank gods", "it's about time" .. blah blah (EVEN IM SAYING IT)  I've been trying to be in a million places at once and doing 12 things at once and the fact that last night I just put the tv on for the entire night from when K woke up from his nap till he went to bed so "I wouldn't have to deal" was just my light going off that something wasn't right.

Ready for the funny part?

Dr is going through all the side effects and what to expect with the meds.  Which I've been on before so I knew all this but of course he has to tell me.

He literally spoke these words:

Dr:  Now another side effect is your sex life

JB:  :contort the "ew" face:

Dr:  The drugs may/may not affect your ability to have an orgasm

JB:  :Hides under paper sheet:  Dr.  SOOOOOOOOO not a conversation we need to have man!

Dr:  Well I just want to let you know ...(of he goes into using all those WORDS to describe what happens between the drugs and the body parts and OMG..)

JB  :dies on floor:  MAKE IT STOP!

Dr:  Why do you always have that reaction, you have a kid.. I know you've had sex.  It's NORMAL.  btw, you can totally go home and have sex, it might make you feel better

JB:  OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!

Dr:  I enjoy telling you all this, you know that right?  You have a worse reaction than your 17 yr old SIL**

JB:  WHAT THE?!!  Don't be telling her about the S. E. X.

Dr:  You do realize you will have to eventually tell your child about sex

JB:  And that's when I'll send him to you.

** DH's whole family plus DH and myself go see this dr..  Kman will eventually join the ranks after we move as well.

So anywho.  Hopefully I will be back to my "normal" self soon ..  xoxo ladies from the resident crazy person :)

  • Umm.  You're not THAT crazy.  I would have the same reaction if my doctor had that conversation with me!  Not really something I am comfy talking about!
  • You guys know me.. you guys KNOW my reaction.  GOD I WAS DYING.

I kept saying STOOOOOOOOOOOOOP, STOP TAAAAAAAAAAALKING!

He got me to laugh.. I'll give him that.

stop!  I've been annoying Corry longer than you had your issue (Which btw, given my cycle right now he thinks mine have also come back *high five*)

But he started telling me about what I WOULD expect if it happened, which made me feel anxious, so he had me lay down and he poked around.  And then informed me I'm not dying anytime soon.

My first text was to Corry to tell her my appendix was fine :)
