Liver day!
Two years ago today a family made a hard decision when their daughter was in a car crash and declared brain dead. They made a decision in such a dark time to donate her organs. She was a tissue match for my little nephew and he received her liver.
He is such an amazing little boy, only 3.5 years old now and we are so thankful and so blessed that these strangers made such a lifechanging decision. I just wanted to throw out there how much you can change a life by being an organ donor. Seeing how much this little boy has had to go through before his transplant and the difference afterords is just amazing. We feel blessed beyond words

My husband is a liver transplant recipient, so I know how you feel. It was my husband''s 5 year anniversary in September 2010.
Has your nephew's family been able to contact the donor family? We communicated by mail with our donor's wife, and it was amazing for all of us.
