Re: Valentine's Day Plans/Poll
Ummm....nothing?
We'll be working all day and it will most likely just be a normal day, and we wont really celebrate on the weekend. We're not big valentines day people.

I am a gluten-free, gun-toting wife! :P
I love you, Daddy...2/24/1953 to 2/13/2011
I'll start
Does anyone have DH gift ideas?? He got me flowers a couple days ago for "being a good wifey." So cute! And rare, haha. I want to get him something, but haven't been able to think of anything good yet.
Oh, I missed it! Or, Kim can start! Hah
Our day will be pretty dang normal, too. I won't even see him until after work. But, I figured, I can try try for something that night before he goes to work..
Ugghhh...I hate Valentines Day!
I love getting flowers and candy, and all that stuff that goes along with Valentines Day. It is just marketed now, and it doesn't feel special if I get a gift or anything from DH for Valentines day.
From the day I met DH I told him if he ever spent money on me on Valentines day it would be completely unappreciated and a waste of money.
I prefer him to do something out of the blue and unexpected, not when he has a million reminders all around him.
So on that note, Monday will be completly normal. Oh, except the kids will be flying high from excessive chocolate and valentines treats from school!
We're not doing anything for V-day. Just giving each other cards. This weekend we're headed to go see his dad and then Monday will just be a normal day. I'll probably work later than normal and my guess is that DH has late basketball practice - which means he won't be home until like 9.
Plus, living with MIL doesn't exactly make it easy to do anything romantic.
Nothing
We aren't doing gifts or anything. Besides being broke now, neither of us really care about the day. Like PP said, I'd prefer a random card or gift, rather than on a "forced" day.
We won't do anything special. We talked about going to a movie over the weekend, maybe Monday because DH has it off work and we got movie gift certificates for Christmas we need to use. Thats more we need to use them and we have nothing else going on than celebrating anything.
I think Sunday we might cook a fancy dinner and drink some wine, because Sunday is the day we got engaged in 2008.

Are you excited for the first Married Valentine's Day? Yes, this is the first valentines day we are actually celebrating, and buying gifts since the past two we were saving for the wedding
What sort of plans do you have? We both have to work Monday, but we are going out to dinner, I do not know where yet, and exchanging gifts, and then coming home to some romance
Are you doing V-Day over the weekend? Or sticking with the actual date on Monday? We are celebrating Monday, but I bought him tickets to go go-karting and I will give him the tickets on Monday, but I will be taking to the place next saturday. I am so excited, I really hope he is suprised by my gift
We aren't doing gifts really, just maybe a card and chocolate/flowers. We are making a dinner at home and chilling. I appreciate those nights so much more now that we're busy all week long with school and work.
We are completing our wedding china, though. Last two place settings are buy one get one at Macy's. Yay!

Ooo, a shopping spree, your DH is a smart man
Have fun!!
FutureMsrDrew, I think I saw in another post that your DH is a CO, so is mine. Doesn't it stink how closed off from everything they are when they're at work? It's a whole other world in there. I hope you have a good/fun/relaxing trip with your family!
I hope everyone here has a great V-day! Since we're all newlyweds, I think we deserve to have a good one
I'm excited!
H has the whole day off, and I only work until about 3 so we'll have a date.
I'm planning said date...I'm taking him to play arcade games and then out for sushi...then something else but I don't know what yet. Suggestions?
