Can I ask a potentially dumb pregnancy related question?
I have no idea if this is worthy of calling my doc or not. Last night I started getting these weird sensations in my belly. I am 99.9% sure it was not baby movements.
The only way I can describe it is if you clench your fist, then immediatly release. Thats how my lower abdomen felt. Each lasted less than 10 seconds and would occur from 3-4x per minute or as far as once every 10 mins or so. Not really painful but it kept me from falling asleep. Still having them this morning but not as frequent. Not constipated. Any ideas? Braxton Hicks? Should I call my doc?

This!
This. Or the baby could just have his foot/hand stuck in a new spot. If you are worried don't hesitate to call. If you sit around and worry about it you will just drive yourself crazy.
a bit late, but...
I was just told at my last appointment to call if BH contractions happen more than 4x in an hour, or if they're painful. Even if that's all they are, they're happening too frequently. Mine make my uterus tighten until I fix whatever is setting them off - empty my bladder, relax, drink more water, etc.
