Back in Bama (Homewood anyone?)
So I lived here in Birmingham for a few short years, but never got on the nest until we were moving to Chapel Hill, NC last fall and I've been on their board ever since. We just moved back to Alabama a few months ago, so I think it's time I switch over and make some local friends. Anyone live near Homewood/Vestavia, have kids, book clubs, get-togethers, etc? I'm about to be 28, have a 4th grader, and live on the Homewood/Vestavia line. My husband graduated from Samford here, but I'm a Tennessee transplant. Looking forward to "meeting" you all!

I live in McCalla, but we end up in Hoover on a pretty regular basis. When did your DH graduate from Samford? My FI just got a job there in August, and he loves it!

i work in homewood, but live in vestavia/bluff park area. i'm 24 and don't have any kiddies just yet!
that's awesome, where in MS? either i have lived in or someone in my family has lived in pretty much every state in the south. i started off in OK, but have also lived in TX, MS, TN, AL, NC, and back to AL. My dh is from NC and Atlanta, GA. I lived in Ridgeland, MS during middle school. But before you guys ask, I'm not an army brat, we just moved with my dad's job though and then the travel bug stuck with me after that.
Is something up with the nest because when i tried to friend ya'll it kept saying you all had the very same wedding date and location as me and i know that can't be true?!?!

dh and I got married in July, so we only have our furbaby, Bogart. DH and I are also having a real time trying to find good, consistent couple friends. We're slowly getting there, though
