Re: Friday Confessions/AWF
AW: We extended our anniversary vacation from seven nights to nine nights - I am totally pumped up!
Confession: I ordered some lingerie from VS for Valentine's Day. I really dislike V-Day but DH gets into it. I absolutely dislike lingerie, it never fits right, my bewbs are too small yada yada yada so hopefully he will like what I picked out.
EDIT:
Confession: I signed up for the Southwest VISA card. Our current card gives us cash back but I would rather have the traveling points. Plus, I want the free tickets!
I ordered H the David Yurman ring he's been eyeing for V-Day and told him to just get me a card. I can't decide if it's going to make him excited or piss him off that I got him something kind of expensive while I let him believe we weren't getting each other anything. He is such a gift giver....not a receiver...but I just feel like I never get to do anything for him in return.
AWF: I'm going to my parents' house tonight and they're doing a big birthday dinner for my grandpa and I. (My b-day was Monday). My sister flew in from England for two weeks so she will be there too. I'm excited.
FFFC: Our house is never clean. The only time we ever clean is when we have people over. I told DH we need to have people over more often so our house will stay clean lol. We love having a clean house, but we hate cleaning.
AWF: DH surprised me and told me yesterday that we're staying at the Skirvin Sunday for Valentine's day! I'm so excited, I've always wanted to stay there! We both took Monday off so we can just have a day to hang out and relax.

Confession: I'm about to go off on the person in charge of the talent show. She is so...annoying. She has no idea what she's doing. She's over-complicating a simple thing and freaking out about every. little. thing. And for some reason she's dragging me into it. She even HUGGED me yesterday when I said I'd call the piano repair guy. Hugged. Full-on frontal. She doesn't know me very well, it appears.
Confession: I'm actually kind of glad that the bball game was canceled tonight, even if it is Homecoming. Yeah, a yearbooker has a problem now because that spread is up in the air and our deadline is the end of the month, but I don't care. I get my Friday back and can celebrate a birthday with some friends.
AW: My mom told me last night she's proud of me. Evidently, when I was born, because of my obvious visual problem (lazy eye, blindness) she was worried there would be more wrong. She said she couldn't have been more wrong and she looked up my school's website (which I put together) and couldn't believe how much I had accomplished. I thought that was sweet. We're not a real touchy-feely share all your emotions kind of family, so it meant a lot.
I thought of another confession: When I read mean posts by people on the national boards, I always feel sorry for their kids (if they have pics or tickers in their siggy) and their husbands.
And another: I hate the word siggy. When I say it, it reminds me of cigarettes. And I hate the words preggo and preggers.

My confession: I have a b-pics shoot on Sunday, and I am SO nervous. I've never done anything like this before, I never ever wear skanky clothes or lingerie, and I'm beside myself with worry that I'm not gonna look my best. These pics are a part of my anniversary present to H, and I want to do them - but I'm just sick with worry about it. And, AF is supposed to visit this weekend, so I've been taking Midol already to hopefully curb off the crappy symptoms of her visit.
My AW: We're actually going to Hawaii next year to visit my mom's side of the family. We've been talking about going for years, but we've never had the time [or money] to go for that long - we're going for at least 10 days and island hopping. We're going next May, and I'm already counting the days. I haven't been back in seven years...I miss it.
Confession: I think V-Day is a crock! I always have and it not because of no one getting me anything or crappy boyfriends on that day. Its just so commericalized; you can buy flowers any day of the week but on V-Day your going to pay 3X as much. C and I always do something like dinner and exchange small gifts but I would be happy to sit my butt at home that night instead of fighting the crowds to go eat. I have friends who expect really expensive jewelry, flowers and nice meal or they get pissed at there man. I want to just throat punch and ask them why they feel like they HAVE to have it on V-day.
AWF: I am going to lunch with OSUwifey at Eskimo Joe's today!
YAY!!
I looked fat until I was like, 30 weeks - and then I got that cute bump everyone else had. I feel ya girl - I'm sure you're still a super cute mommy-to-be though!
Congrats on the fab review, too!
Confession: We are dirty bastards. We keep the kitchen clean and take out the trash, but like a previous poster, we hate cleaning anything else and only do it when someone else comes over, but I'm too cheap to hire a cleaning person.
AW: Deleted due to paranoia
Essentially, I have good work-related news
Confession: My BIL is getting married next week in Vegas in a helicopter. I think the way they are planning this wedding is ridiculous because they now have a site online where they want people to send money for their honeymoon in September. No ceremony(I can understand) No reception and please send money. WTF?
AWF: I am going to Vegas Baby!
Dang - I missed it. If congrats are in order, congrats!
fffc: I have placed a pair of the classic black uggs on my wish list after I stomped in snow and got it in my shoes for the 17th time today. Also, like kayleeb, I don't like the words siggie or preggers or prego either. Aren't we a couple of word snobs, ha ha!
aw: I got a really cute $15 haircut (which included a heavenly wash with a scalp massage) today, and I'm just so proud of my thriftiness I could pop.
Did you end up going to the Duncan Bros. school? I may end up there - the girl who normally cuts my hair has been sick and it is driving me nuts!
I did! I was nervous, but I figured even if they totally messed it up, it was just hair and not a permanent problem.
The girl that I had was about to graduate, and she asked me a lot of questions about how I liked to wear my hair and such. I thought she did a great job making sure we both had the same thing in mind...I gave her a pretty big tip because they don't get paid as students, and she'd really earned it besides. Apparently, when they're done, the teacher has to come over and critique it, making little finishing touches as she sees fit. I'll definitely go back!
My regular girl is going to be working tomorrow, so I think I will stick with her for now. I'm particularly nervous about trying new people for hair because my hair is very short, so there's not it would be difficult to have fixed if it was really bad. I'm glad you had such a great experience, though! I may send my two guys there for cheap haircuts in the future.
Confession: DH did our taxes. We owe four-figures worth to the feds and some to the state too.
Disclaimer: 2010 was my first full year at my job after graduating, and DH started a job midway though the year after 9 months post-graduation bringing in no income, so our 2010 income was significantly different from 2009. We were using the number of exemptions we claimed in the past, and DH makes significantly less than I do so his paycheck was taxed at a lower rate than our overall household income should have been. We've figured out what we need to do in the future so it doesn't happen again.
Mmmm.... I love malibu! Throw some pineapple juice into that cocktail and drink it for me!!
