Cooking Class?

Has anyone taken a cooking class? DH and I would like to take one. I'm going to check out what our town Rec Department offers but we'd like something that was a few weeks, not just a single class.

MrsT I told him that we should take the class you and MrT took in Italy. Wink He said it couldn't require a plane flight. Stick out tongue

Re: Cooking Class?

  • I've never taken any cooking classes, but someone posted once about Barbara Lynch's classes (she's the chef behind No. 9 Park and others).  Maybe it was buckeye?  Here's the site and it looks like new class schedules are being announced next month.  The No. 9 Park Classics looks cool, but these classes seem a bit pricey.  Cheaper than a ticket to Italy though!
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • I took an Italian sauces class at my neighborhood local market (Dave's Fresh Pasta in Davis Sq, Somerville).  It was awesome.  I'd love to take another through Cambridge Adult Ed.

Speaking of which... Where did Buckeye go?

I've never taken a cooking class but it sounds like a great idea. I'd love to be able to cook for real. All I can do is follow a recipe.

  • I have taken classes at Stir and enjoyed them. They are a little pricey, but you get a nice meal, and it's a fun night! I usually go by myself. SO does not like to cook and often does not like everything on the menu, so I use it as my special night out. I'm taking the Stir Classics in a few weeks. Can't wait!

I have also wanted to take some classes at the BCAE, but I have not signed up for any there yet...

Moved to St. Louis.  But she still peeks in here every once in a while.
