1) What are your thoughts on Tattoo's in general?
2) Do you have any? (PIP's a plus!)
3) Do you want one? If so, of what? Where?
Re: Tattoo's
1) What are your thoughts on Tattoo's in general? To be honest, mixed. I think if they're tasteful and meaningful, then they are interesting. However, I find very few people who have taseteful/meaningful ones (and/or if they do, they also have at least one more that they say they regret or "got when I was 18 and stupid.")
2) Do you have any? (PIP's a plus!) Nope
3) Do you want one? If so, of what? Where? I've said it before (and will again) that I'll get a tattoo if/when something incredibly meaningful/life changing happens to me and I feel extra compelled to commemorate it in some way. I adopted this philosophy after hearing Elijah Wood interview on Jay Leno (HEAR ME OUT!). The cast of The Lord of the Rings trilogy (the main nine characters) all went out and got matching tattoos - the Elvin #9. I said if I ever did something in my life that was as big as starring in The Lord of the Rings, I'd get a tattoo like that. Other examples include my cousin (a breast cancer survivor with a pink ribbon tattoo) and my friend (whose mom is currently going through a rare ovarian cancer that spread to her brain -- she got a very beautiful floral design in honor of her mom that she spent over a year designing). So, yeah -- I'd get one if I was super compelled and had a really, really good reason for doing so.
1) What are your thoughts on Tattoo's in general? They don't bother me, to each their own.
2) Do you have any? (PIP's a plus!) No.
3) Do you want one? If so, of what? Where? I do want one, and have been looking/drafing one up for the past few weeks. I am looking to get a memorial tattoo (something w/ a heart, maybe wings) for my dad. I was thinking on my wrist/fore arm or my upper back. (H isn't a fan of the wrist).

1) I find most of them terribly ugly. I understand the significance of tattoos that some have gotten, but I still find them ugly.
2) No.
3) I know exactly what I'd get, but I will never mark my body in such a way. I don't even have pierced ears! If I wasn't Jewish and did find tattoos more attractive, I would get a pair of hockey sticks with a puck on the inside of my left ankle. LOL
(Side Note: My husband has two tattoos on his shoulder. I really don't like them and my mom has offered money toward getting them removed!)
1. I have two, so I have no problem with them. I think many of them are really ugly, but some are very beautiful as well. It's like any other art form really.
2. I have two - one on my lower back and one on the inside of my right hip. The one on my lower back is a blue iris. Irises symbolize faith, hope and wisdom. I got the specific image from a trinket my grandparent's brought to me from a trip to Switzerland.
The one on my hip is a teeny tiny ladybug, smaller than a nickel. It's representative of where I grew up (literally, the street name is "Ladybug") and they also are a symbol of good luck.
3. I'm 99% sure I'm done with tattoos. For one thing, they're quite expensive but also because I'm not sure where else I'd put one that I could conceal if I chose to.
Dead.
No tats for me. Can't commit.

1) I have no problem with them, but have more respect for the tasteful and meaningful ones. The only ones I all out hate are visible lewd ones. But I can definitely appreciate good ink.
2) Yes, I have one. Does it mean anything to me? No, I got it when I was 18 and eager (not stupid), but I still love it. It's a tribal butterfly on my stomach (apparently right where an appendectomy incision would be, so that part was a little stupid). It's similar to this:
Personally, I only like black ink. Some people's color tattoos are okay, but I prefer solid black ink.
3. I do intend to get one more. I want a triple goddess knot, like this but more ornate:
And somehow I want to incorporate a reference to my grandmother (who was Scottish), my mom, and myself. I haven't decided yet how to incorporate us (initials, birthday, birthstone), which is why I haven't gotten it yet. Above it, it will say "Ne Oublie", which is my grandma's Scottish clan's motto. The tattoo, obviously, is in honor of her and to be done in her memory. That will be my meaningful one. I intend it to be my last, but I do foresee the possibility of getting one years from now in honor of any potential future spawn.

I tend to like them, but that's probably due to the circles I hang out with. Most of my friends have really cool, unique and meaningful tattoos (a meaningful quote, a symbol for a family member), or just fun ones that show their personalities (two strips of bacon, Eraserhead, etc.) I tend to think really common ones (barbed wire arm circle) or ones you don't understand (a Chinese character when you don't speak Chinese) are pretty stupid. If more people I saw had those, I would probably hate tattoos.
I wish I had one. I had a perfect design in mind when I was younger, but I just never made getting it a priority. Now I wish I had. I have no tattoos, and no real reason to get one (my perfect design was a line drawing of a dancer, when I was a dancer, but I don't really dance any more. It would have been a perfect memento of that time, but that time has passed now.)

1) I'm not a big fan, but can appreciate them as an art form.
2) No
3) Nope, there's no way I could commit.
Same here.
DH has one that he got when he was 18. It's his high school mascot (a trojan) with water (he was a member of the swim team) splashing behind it. It isn't visible the majority of the time because it's slightly above his bicep and he doesn't really rock the sleeveless shirt look. I honestly don't know if he regrets getting it, but I know I personally would have had I gotten something similar when I was in high school. Meanwhile, is it horrible that I find it slightly amusing because the "trojan" looks more like Popeye wearing a hoplite helmet and there is a single arm hair growing out of his chin?
1 - Honestly, I'm not really a fan of tattoos at all. I do find the meaningful ones a bit better but even still...something about tats just irks me!
2 - Nope!
3 - Never!
My position on tats is mixed as well. I saw the most beautiful woman at the beach one day-perfect hair, perfect body...and then I saw her tat and it ruined it for me. It was just so out of place on her otherwise elegant persona, it was just a giant turn-off. But on the other hand, I have some friends who are covered in them and manage to look amazing. I love those LA and Miami Ink-type shows, because the stories behind them are usually very powerful and meaningful and I respect that aspect of it.
I definitely don't think I have the right personality to pull off any tattoo, and probably won't ever get one.
I'm not against tattoos but I don't think I'd ever get one. They're NMS. DH doesn't have any either.
When I was young and rebellious I pierced my tongue and a tiny stud in my nostril (think Kelly Clarkson). Both are gone. I don't even have my ears pierced anymore.
I like that piercings are reversible, unless you stretch them all out freaky style.
