lol, I just registered for my first marathon!! Eeek! I'm so excited/nervous!!
Chicago, 10/9/11, one week before our annivesary!
Re: AW: I'm crazy!
Ahh!!!! Good Luck!!! I'm so envious!
I trained for a full 2 years ago, but at mile 15-16 in my training, my knee was done - got the good ol' runner's knee. Found out that I needed to be stretching my hams much more thoroughly for runs over 13... I was so broken hearted for weeks.
I'm telling myself I'm going to sign up for one this fall if we find out we can't go to Europe in September (waiting on issue's at DH's office to get resolved).
I agree, you are crazy.
I ran the half marathon here two years in a row, but I never went to the next level.

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermEmily- I'm scared that something like this will happen to me when training! One of my friends pulled her IT-band last year when training for a half and was done for a while. My other friend pulled something in her foot during her 1st marathon and had to walk the last 9miles. Praying that I'll stay healthy in the next 8 months, and definitely try to remember to stretch well!
Haha, lol. I ran my first half last August and afterwards I told myself I could definitely do that again, but never a full...and now I've decided wth and just go for it.It's on my life-list and I figure while I'm young, healthy, and have relatively few commitments, why not now

Congrats! Although, I do agree I think you are crazy!!
I am sending good vibes of no injuries your way!
Just the thought of injuring a knee sounds so painful right now! But then again, I just got done with knee surgery! Haha! What do they say about knees? They are one of the worst joints in your body!
Yep, you are crazy lol but I am sure you will do great. You seem to be such a motivated and determined person in general, that I am sure you'll be able to run this without a problem.
I'm dead after 3 miles, so all the power to ya! lol
Good luck!!!
I am definitely envious - I wish I had it in me, but I've never been a runner. Being a swimmer for 11 years was about as athletic as I've gotten in my life.
If you can do a half, you can do a whole, right?
